About the Role
As an Associate Software Engineer, you will analyze specifications, develop high-level design, maintain traceability, review unit-level code, and document your work on Harman products. You will provide technical coordination in software development by understanding project requirements and guiding a team of engineers on skill-building aspects related to the project.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience in Android Application development and integration on embedded platforms using Kotlin & Java.
- Good knowledge of Android system, components & Android middleware.
- Strong skills in native C/C++ programming.
- Proficient with communication interfaces like JNI, binder/AIDL/HIDL, MQTT, socket communication.
- Exposure to Multimedia domain: using multimedia frameworks, handling varied media sources, media content management, and media playback scenarios.
- Proficient in multi-threaded programming and middleware solution development on Android environment.
- Strong fundamentals in IPC and OS concepts.
- Experience in developing responsive applications scalable to different display resolutions.
- Proficiency in MVVM, MVC, MVP models.
- Experience with cloud interfaces including OAuth, REST APIs.
- Automotive knowledge is a plus, though not mandatory.
- Good debugging skills with Android tools like logcat, ADB, etc.
- Experience working with third-party libraries, APIs, and Android SDK.
- Knowledge of Gradle and Android make files is a plus.
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
- Knowledge of UML state diagrams, sequence diagrams, and analysis.
