Job Description

Oracle Cerner is thrilled to hire an Associate Software Engineer/Software Developer 1. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and modifying CCL scripts, participating in code reviews, and managing the debugging and documentation process. As part of the support team, you will ensure that AMS clients’ contractual obligations are met, contributing to client satisfaction. You should be prepared to support clients on call if needed.

You will effectively navigate development processes and code repositories, apply basic code changes and testing to resolve issues, and develop and execute work and test plans.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Applications, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or Information Systems.

Skills Required

  • Technical Skills: SQL, PL-SQL, Database Management Systems, Data Analysis, Data Processing, MySQL, Programming, Software Engineering.
  • Soft Skills: Problem-Solving, Collaboration, Communication, Attention to Detail, Adaptability, Time Management, Continuous Learning, Mentorship.
  • Additional Skills: Familiarity with Business Intelligence Tools (Tableau, Business Object, Power Insight, DA2), CCL, and Healthcare Workflow is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

  • Use basic knowledge of software architecture to develop, debug, and design software applications or operating systems according to design specifications.
  • Enhance existing software applications and build new features within the existing architecture.
  • Design and develop new reports by fetching data through SQL, processing data, and representing it as required.
  • Gather requirements, understand project scope, estimate work, plan, and execute tasks effectively.
  • Handle client calls and collaborate with stakeholders to meet requirements.
  • Participate in technical design discussions and collaborate at the component level.
  • Perform debugging, document root cause analysis, and suggest process improvements at the team level.
  • Support software releases and gain a deep understanding of healthcare workflows and the Millennium data model.
  • Be willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations.
  • Adhere to corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, safeguard corporate and client assets, and report any security compromises.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
