Job Description
We are looking for a motivated QA Engineer Intern to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will ensure the quality of our software products through manual testing and the development of automated tests. You will work closely with QA leads, developers, and product managers to deliver top-quality software solutions.
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies.
- Familiarity with manual testing tools like Notion, Jira, and TestRail.
- Knowledge of automation testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Basic understanding of SQL and database testing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of financial concepts or experience in the fintech industry.
- Certification in software testing (ISTQB, CSTE, etc.).
What You'll Do
- Manual Testing:
- Create, maintain, and execute manual test cases based on project requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Document and track defects, and collaborate with the development team to resolve issues.
- Automation Testing:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze results to ensure application reliability and scalability.
- Continuously improve automated testing frameworks and processes.
- Programming and Scripting:
- Use programming languages like Python/Java/JavaScript to enhance test automation frameworks.
- Write SQL queries to validate data integrity and conduct database testing.
- Develop scripts for test data preparation and test environment setup.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Report daily status to the QA lead, communicate test progress, results, and potential risks to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and sprint planning sessions.
